two prior felonies is required to serve up to life in prison as a
result of the new three strikes law".

Berg's Law Review on
Children's Rights
Your children have rights when charged with a crime.
However, being children, they can't protect those rights
themselves. Their parents are the only ones who can protect
them.
There is no guarantee a child will be treated fairly or with
respect once he or she is in the system. The criminal system
is not set up to rehabilitate children, but rather to warehouse and
punish them. Request a copy.
Berg's Law Review on
Drunk Driving
Many of us know someone who has been arrested for, and charged
with, drunk driving. And every year more severe laws are
passed to punish drunk drivers.
Does someone have to be drunk to be convicted of drunk
driving? No. The law punishes anyone the jury believes was
under the influence of alcohol to an unsafe degree. Request
a copy. |
